Lana, Foiana, S. Vigilio, Cermes, Postal and Gargazzone are all located directly on the moraine hills of the surrounding mountains, but also stretch into the Adige Valley plains. Lana and its surroundings can therefore offer a broad assortment of hiking trails and cycling routes. Lana is also situated at the endpoint of one of the most rustic and picturesque valleys of South Tyrol - the Ulten Valley.

Across mountains and valleys
Explore the diversity of softly rolling panoramic trails and exciting mountain routes and paths across the nearby peaks. A very special treat in the mountains is the Merano High Trail (Meraner Höhenweg), which runs around the Nature Park Texelgruppe. Unforgettable impressions, a unique mountain landscape, but also rustic, traditional mountain chalets offering hearty meals await the visitor. And if you prefer, you can get back to the valley via cable car.
For the more relaxed and less ambitious hiker, there are numerous forest, pasture and wooded trails to explore in the valley and hills. The many nature and historical trails are worth a visit, as are the picturesque promenades along the historical irrigation channels, called 'Waalweg'.
Dogs may be taken along on all hiking trails, provided they walk on a leash (bring a muzzle as well, since some cable cars require this).
