The Lana garden centre galanthus is cared for by the brothers of the German Order and has always been a place of lively encounter and inspiration. The historical monastery garden also makes for a soothing and restful setting. In this spirit the garden centre trod new paths when some years ago it originated a cooperative project between associations, such as Arche Noah, in order to preserve the diversity of cultivated plants. Every year galanthus holds the so called Südtiroler Gartenlust, a festival to raise our awareness of the beauty of nature.

During the Südtiroler Gartenlust 2011, an area of 15,000 m² will be filled with exhibitors from all over the world presenting on every aspect of gardening. This year's festival will also include handicraft, arts and crafts and relevant literature. In addition, there will be a number of special lectures and a varied children's programme. Concerts as well as South Tyrolean gourmet delights will complete the event.
