While spring is mostly dedicated to culinary highlights, summer is the time for musical and cultural events. From mid May onwards many concerts and festivals take place throughout South Tyrol.

Festivals and concerts
Every year in May Lana organises the LanaLive Music Festival, where international stars perform along with many local musicians and bands. Open-air theatre is featured by the Freilichtspiele Lana. The Gola Canyon serves as a beautiful setting.
During the months of July and August the "Long Thursdays" take place in the historical town centre of Lana. This means shops and vending stands stay open late and an entertainment programme creates a festive atmosphere. Contemplation and reflection are the objective of the garden festival organised by the plant nursery galanthus. The focus is on the diversity of cultivated plants available in the area.
