Many traditions have been preserved, others have been newly interpreted and there are always new ones being made.
Customs, tradition and the fine arts are complemented by innovation, creativity and bold new beginnings. The multifaceted and creative cultural programme offered in Lana comprises outstanding sports events, passion play, open-air theatre, the LanaLive concert series as well as culinary highlights such as the Wild Herbs Days or the Blossom Festival.
There are two special attractions that celebrate the delicious chestnuts grown in the area: the traditional custom of „Törggelen", where roasted chestnuts are enjoyed together with young wine, and the Chestnut Days known as „Keschtnriggl". The Lana Literature Days are widely renowned in all the German language countries.
